These two magpies are grazing on the lawn as the sun rises above the trees at the bottom of our street. They are there year round and we have had a pair nesting and producing youngsters for the past 14 years or more in the same gum tree on our block. They shelter on our verandah when it rains and our garden appears to be a very useful spot in their local territory.
