EVENING BIRDSONG: Irene Manion; SIDESTEPPING SPINIFEX: Ellen King ~ 13th June 2020
Irene Manion and Ellen King unite to form a binary exhibition here at Purple Noon Gallery. The artists have different but complementary skills, which will be presented, on opening night Saturday June 13th 2020.
In Irene’s Evening Birdsongand Ellen’s Sidestepping Spinifexthe Australian natural world is the overarching theme.
Flight of Fancy: Mellissa Read-Devine
In her unique multi-coloured style Mellissa animates our natural environment by merging pixilated explosions of paint with a constantly changing pattern or sequence of elements. Colours of the light spectrum appear interrupted by delicate daubs that flicker across the canvas with grace and harmony.
The Tiny Art Show
The Tiny Art Show is the first in a series of online exhibitions this year. The exhibition is both physical and digital and in lieu of a formal opening event, we will be conducting a digital interview session with several of the artists. The opening event will occur simultaneously at the gallery, recorded and posted live on IGTV, website, Instagram, Instagram Stories and Facebook.
