Magpies, like all species of the crow family, are highly intelligent and often entertaining to watch. When
magpies have formed an attachment to humans they will show their trust by entering the human domain.
They may allow their chicks to play near people, not fly away when a resident human is approaching, and
actually approach or roost near a human. This bold approach is reflected in this composition.
